Listen. It's been like two years. I know. This thing called life got to me.
Where have I been? I swear to you- I've been here! I've been busy working in the ER. Life is crazy with three kids! And ohhhh the photos! Seriously- you guys spoil me. Photography has really taken off in the past year. I've become a staple here in Weatherford. I've become an actual name in this small town- a true Weatherford family photographer. An actual Weatherford newborn photographer! And finally- I'm back at it. Fine art maternity. I started it in New York, and I WILL be the next Weatherford maternity photographer specializing in fine art- something that no other person has tapped into. So shh- keep that between you and me! Here's a couple of my latest fine art maternity sessions. I've posted quite a few over on my maternity page- so head over there! I've updated some family and newborn photos, too. Check it out, sis. Hire me. You won't regret it!

As a DFW maternity photographer, I believe that studio photography offers a range of benefits that are hard to match in outdoor shoots. In my studio located in Weatherford, Texas, or in any surrounding studio rentals I frequent, we can control the temperature, which is especially important when dealing with expectant mothers in hot Texas summers. Additionally, the studio offers a relaxed, quiet and private environment where my clients can feel comfortable and focus on the experience!
Another reason to choose studio photography is the balanced lighting that helps create a beautiful glow around my clients. This balanced lighting enhances the mood of the shoot and helps me create the perfect images that showcase the natural beauty of my clients. I also have a large client closet filled with gorgeous gowns to choose from. The dresses are supplied by us, free of charge, and offer a wide range of styles and colors to fit any client's preferences. This provides an added convenience for my clients, who can choose a gown that best suits their style without having to purchase one themselves. Finally, I take pride in offering an elegant and styled studio that ensures every client feels like a queen. From the props and backgrounds to the editing and retouching, I pay close attention to every detail to create images that will be cherished for a lifetime. So if you're looking for an Aledo maternity photographer or Weatherford maternity photographer, consider a studio photography session to capture your beautiful bump and cherish the memories for years to come. If you're looking for a DFW maternity photographer or a Weatherford newborn photographer, you'll appreciate the convenience and professionalism of our studio. We pride ourselves on offering a private and intimate space where expectant mothers can feel relaxed and confident. In our studio, you won't have to worry about unpredictable weather or unwanted distractions, ensuring that the focus is solely on you and your bump. Our Weatherford maternity photographer is highly experienced and will help guide you through the entire session, from selecting the perfect gown to capturing the most flattering poses. We want every client to feel comfortable and beautiful, which is why we offer a variety of styles and backgrounds to choose from, ensuring that every image is unique and personalized. Trust us to capture the beauty and magic of this special time in your life! It has finally happened, guys! We are officially in Texas! The past four weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions for our family. As my husband, the Marine, the man, the legend, packed our house & did the heavy lifting, I hurriedly finished up several photo sessions in New York, comforted our kiddos, and said our goodbyes. Our kids cried, we cried, we mourned the end of an era. I still cannot speak of it. I could lie and say I am over the moon and couldn't wait to get out of the Hudson Valley- but, if I'm being honest with you and myself, I'm still a wee bit homesick.. While there, I finished up some last minute newborn sessions, some last minute family sessions, and a sprinkle of maternity sessions, too! It was a surreal feeling leaving it all behind, as I shut the doors to my studio, one last time. I hugged my favorite clients, and silently let the tears fall, over and over again. I know it's not goodbye forever, but it sure hurts all the same...

Dear family and friends: It’s with mixed emotions that I announce I am no longer accepting new and future appointments until fall 2021. As most of you are aware- my family is moving across country at the end of July to Weatherford, Texas. Although I would love to “squeeze in just one more” in New York, I simply can’t 😩 Three little kiddos are counting on me to support them through this process and a house won’t pack itself (unfortunately lol).
Fort Worth friends & future clients: I will announce new appointments once we are settled. I am expecting to have fall mini dates by the end of August! 😊 I look forward to all of the new and amazing clients I will be meeting! One day, soon enough, I can call myself a Weatherford Tx newborn photographer, or an Aledo Tx maternity photographer... I cannot wait for that day! I will be taking very limited appointments in DFW- I will not be taking any studio newborns or maternity clients until our house is built in the Peaster, Texas area. Thank you to all of my amazing Hudson Valley clients. You all have made me who I am today- and I thank you for that! 💙 I will miss you dearly!! 🥰 I haven't blogged in a bit. I'm fairly certain after the busy season of the fall my brain 100% shut off for the month of January. Now, here I am finding it's January 30th and an entire month has come and gone. Who am I? Who are you? Where am I?!
This little baby girl has been all over my IG. I'm obsessed with her. She needs to be the next Miss Hudson Valley Newborn of the year with the amount of sharing I'm doing! But this sweet girl's session was just wonderful. Her two big brothers played along with us and allowed us a super sweet shot of them both holding her. Truly moments you will never get back again- your three babies loving on each other when they're still so small. My heart bursts whenever I have siblings in the studio! Check out the sweet little wooden newborn bed, as well! During these crazy times, I have truly been trying to reach out to local Hudson Valley small businesses and contracting their work, instead of giving my money overseas. Small businesses is where it's at! I approached Danielle from DM Custom Woodcraft about doing some newborn props for me and she was not only excited and eager, but really put her heart and soul into every piece! If you're in the market for something crafty- check her out: www.instagram.com/dmcustomwoodcraft/?hl=en Otherwise, enjoy this sweet little baby girl. Being a Hudson Valley newborn photographer is my pride and joy. It will never get old. Since it's the first day of the new year, it's only right to roll out some new ideas! I'm really excited to announce my next new adventure! If you've been following me on IG or on my Facebook page, you may have noticed some amazingly gorgeous, and very pregnant ladies, surfacing my feed. The experience has been so amazing, and these gorgeous ladies have felt pampered, and beautiful! After several years of doing maternity photography, I've decided that simply doing shoots outside, with simple dresses, just didn't seem enough. I wanted to be a little "extra" for a hot second! If you've noticed- I like to make things an "experience"... right?! I want more for my maternity clients, too! I also want them to feel MORE than their best- I want them to feel drop.dead.gorgeous! I want the experience to be effortless- show up at my studio, have your makeup and hair done by a team of experts, get into some gorgeous dresses picked out JUST for you and have some fun! You don't have to lift a finger... This is why I've decided to up my game for you all: Fine art maternity! Picture an entire team of people making you feel like a queen- picture these Vogue-like photos being your keepsakes for years to come. Picture rocking in that rocking chair, with an itty bitty baby in your arms, looking at these photos and thinking, "That was such a beautiful time in my life..". You deserve it. Seriously! You're growing fingers and toes and eyeballs and nails, for goodness sake! You. Are. Worth. It. You. Goddess! Take the photo. Capture the moment. With that said-- here's to new adventures! Here's to Fine Art Maternity with Sarah Jayne Photography! I can't wait to dress you. I can't wait to make you feel powerful, amazing, beautiful, and strong! oughkeepsie NY family photographer, Hudson valley family photographer, dutchess county family photographer, Newburgh ny family photographer, westchester ny family photographer, Poughkeepsie ny newborn photographer, Newburgh ny newborn photographer, Orange County ny newborn photographer, westchester ny newborn photographer, poughkeepsie ny maternity photographer, hudson valley maternity photographer
If you've ever been in my studio, you have seen this little guy's photo on my wall. Sitting in the perfect froggy, weighing in at over 10 pounds! No one ever believes that he was fresh out of the oven. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to watch this little guy grow... and grow... and grow. When Mom & I were designing Lincoln's cake smash set, we knew that this shoot would be epic! This child LOVES food (he's bigger than my 18 month old, after all!!). But sometimes-- it just doesn't go as planned and you just have to laugh! Little man was happy as could be, don't get me wrong- jamming out to a sweet set of tunes, running around, (literally) smashing his cake on the floor, and showing off his fluffy little tail. But eating cake was not on his agenda for the day. Dried strawberries? Sure. Cake? No. Thankfully, this kid is cute- and Mom & Dad approve of these photos despite the resistance to eating cake! I've been taking this gorgeous couple's children's photos for a couple years now, but I've never gotten the two of them in FRONT of the camera. When Stephanie wrote to me, asking to do an engagement session, I was so pumped! Then- covid hit. Stephanie is one of NY's finest- working the front lines as a RN on a covid unit locally. The session got pushed back and back. Finally, the day arrived for our shoot and- it was raining. I literally was driving to their shoot, seriously PRAYING it would stop any moment. Guys- it stopped as soon as I got there, and left this intensely magical fog over the Hudson River (insert smiley face with big heart eyes!). Literally could not have asked for a more fun couple, a great shoot and AMAZING traditional Indian wear. This is going in the books as my favorite engagement session to date! Check 'em out... Everyone knows my love/hate relationship for New York. Listen! Before you go hating on me for hating on your beloved New York, hear me out: It's cold. It snows. It's cold. It snows. So yah- that's it. BUT- I have to say... this back drop! I love, love, love New York summers but the fall- the fall is my favorite! This Momma has been coming to me for all of her boys' birthday photos for two years now. When I heard she was pregnant- WITH A GIRL- I was PUMPED! I know very little about raising a boy. What I have learned in the past 17 months is that they're full of chaos (seriously- I can't tell you how many dangerous things my dude has gotten into already... gah!!). But girl stuff- I got this. We will make all of this Momma's girl dreams come true! All the soft pinks for this chick when she arrives. And if she's anything like her Momma- she's going to be gorgeous! There's something about a mom that is taking it all in- her last pregnancy. This is it. Two boys & a girl- a perfect little family now! My heart bursts for her! She's literally glowing off of this page.... Hey! It's me. You know, your local photographer drowning in work. The one who promised herself she would blog about EVERY. Single. Session. And then, uh, sort of got lost for a month. I can't even begin to describe how many amazing sessions I've had in the past month! I've photographed the sweetest blonde, curly haired little people; to two amazing photographer duos; and rounding out the month with some spot on maternity sessions! I'm really super excited to announce my next big adventure in the photography world. It's something I've been envisioning for awhile, and finally, I feel like I have a grasp on who I am and what I want to become. I'll announce this big adventure soon. Promise. Until then, here are some favorites from my Christmas minis so far!
